Facing new challenges

The research process must respond to the needs and demands coming from society.

However, there are many examples of disconnection between the offer of results from knowledge-generating institutions and real demand for the productive sectors.

That is why IDAF identifies the needs and demands of the sector to promote research oriented to real problems that may limit the progress of the different actors in the sector, in collaboration with institutions such as the University of Córdoba.

Thus, IDAF develops and promotes applied research projects at the technological and forestry level as well as training of research and technical staff related.

The objective is to optimize the efficiency of investment in research, causing maximum impact on different levels of the sector, and promoting multi-directional processes of knowledge transfer.

Thus, it promotes proper transfer of knowledge and results of research projects to society and more specifically the international sector, prioritizing developing countries in America, Africa and Asia.
